CB Insights’ Funding Window predicts when a private company is likely to raise next. Here’s how our calls have held up.

Timing is the hardest part of dealmaking. By the time a round is announced, the investors are already picked.

That’s the problem CB Insights’ Funding Window is built to solve. It estimates when a private company is most likely to raise its next round. The model compares each company with peers at a similar stage and looks at how quickly those peers raised again.

What we got right

In June, we tracked last year’s Money Awards winners with Money20/20. Our Winner Performance Tracker named six that were inside their funding window.

Two of them have since raised new rounds:

  • Yellow Card raised a $40M Series D in August. Blockchain Capital, Polychain, SC Ventures, and Sony Innovation Fund co-led.
  • Taktile raised a $110M Series C in June, led by Goldman Sachs Alternatives.

Agree, Branch, and CredCore, three others from the list, are still in their windows.

Who we’re watching now

We’ll continue to make calls throughout our research and our newsletter, and report back as they raise. A few others include:

  • Guide Labs, builds AI models designed to be easier to inspect and audit. It’s one month into its funding window. (Mentioned in our Oct 1 newsletter)
  • Keycard, which builds identity and access for AI agents. It has made two acquisitions since its Series A. (Sep 24)
  • Ellipsis Health, which builds an AI care manager for health plans and providers. It’s a 2026 AI 100 winner. (Jul 2)

Note: Predictions come from the CB Insights platform on the date each piece was published. Funding outcomes come from CB Insights deal data as of October 14, 2026.
